Frequently Asked Questions
What subjects and levels does SG Physics, Chemistry & Math teach?
The centre offers programmes across Lower Secondary, O-Level/IP and Junior College levels, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Combined Science. Refer to the individual subject pages for programme-specific details.
Where are your tuition centres in Singapore?
Classes are offered at Bishan, Bukit Timah, Jurong East and Marine Parade, with online options also available for selected programmes.
What learning materials do students receive?
Students will receive curriculum-aligned notes and worksheets, worked solutions, exam-style practices and exam papers. In addition, there will be video resources for enrolled students.
How do students catch up after missing a class?
Students may use a suitable make-up class, live online option or lesson recording, depending on availability and the programme.
Are on-site and online lessons available?
Yes. The centre offers on-site and online options. Availability varies by programme and timing, do check the latest class schedule.
How do I know whether my child needs tuition?
Look for recurring signs such as difficulty explaining concepts, repeated careless errors, weak foundations from earlier topics, falling confidence or difficulty applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions. A trial lesson can help parents and students judge whether the teaching approach is suitable.
Should my child choose tuition based on the teacher or the location?
All our teachers are well-trained and very experienced. Timing and location fit is important for the students to attend lessons consistently. You may review our teacher's subject specialisation, and then use the class schedule to find a practical branch or online option.
Are the classes taught by MOE-trained teachers?
Our teaching team consist of only MOE-trained specialists.
How large are the tuition classes?
Weekday classes for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics generally have around 5 to 6 students per group. Weekend classes usually have 8 to 12 students per group. Actual size may vary by programme and timing.
Can my child attend a trial lesson before enrolling?
Trial lessons can be arranged on request, subject to availability and the applicable fee for the student's level and subject.
Are your programmes aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus?
Our teachers keep abreast of syllabus changes. Notes and worksheets are updated in accordance with the school curriculum and examination requirements.
When is the best time to start tuition?
There is no single best starting month. The useful time to start is when a student needs clearer explanations, more consistent practice or support closing gaps. Starting earlier gives more time to build foundations, but students can also join during the year subject to class availability.
Is group tuition suitable for a student who is shy about asking questions?
It can be, our lessons are interactive and designed to give students opportunities to clarify doubts. Our class environment encourages questions and our teachers check understanding actively.
Does tuition replace independent revision at home?
No. Tuition can provide structure, explanations, feedback and practice, but students still need regular independent revision. The strongest use of tuition is to make home study more focused by showing students what they understand and what still needs work.
